The Office of Student Services encompasses:

College Night
The College Night Program is held annually in the fall. Over 125 colleges and universities are represented. All high school students and their parents are invited to attend and speak with the representatives of their choice.

Homeless Students
Students living in a night time residence that is not fixed, regular or adequate may qualify for expedited enrollment, transportation to school of origin and other services through the Homeless Education program regulated by the McKinney-Vento Homelessness Act. New Resident Guides

New Student Registration
To enroll a child, a parent or guardian must complete the Student Enrollment form and the Annual Student Emergency Information Card at the school site. The following are required for registration: • 2 proofs of residency • Proof of age • Florida DOH Certificate of Immunization • Physical Examination- All students, Pre-K through grade 12, who are new to the state or entering Pre-K or kindergarten classes for the first time, must provide documentation of a Florida Student Health Examination performed within the 12 months prior to initial entry into a Florida school. • Social Security Card: Florida Statute 1008.386, “requires school districts to request a social security number for each student in grades Pre-K-Adult who enroll in school. However, a student is not required to provide his or her social security number as a condition for enrollment or graduation.” • Students enrolling in kindergarten must be 5 years old on or before September 1st. Psychological Services
A full range of psychological services is available to students from Pre-K through high school. Psychologists assist in the identification and resolution of educational difficulties through assessment, consultation, and direct intervention.

Scholarships & Awards
The Department of Student Services disseminates scholarship information to schools, coordinates the Bright Futures Scholarship Program and Pride Awards. . Visit the Scholarship Information web page for more information.

School Counseling Services
School counselors are available in each school to assist parents and students with orientation, placement, schedules, testing, teacher/parent conferences, special programs, academic support and individual needs.

School Health
Health Screening is provided in selected grades as follows: • Vision Screening - Grades K, 1, 3, 6 • Hearing Screening - Grades K, 1, 6 • Growth & Development Screening /Height and Weight- Grades 1, 3, 6 • Scoliosis Screening - Grade 6 School Nursing services are provided at all District schools through a partnership with NCH Healthcare System, Inc., and the Collier County Health Department. Section 504 / ADA / Student Issues
Student Services facilitates the implementation of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act to ensure that all students with disabilities receive an appropriate education. Student Progression
Student Progression is based upon an evaluation of each student’s achievement. Promotion and retention are determined by school administrators with parental input. The district's Student Progression Plan is available on our website, please see the Documents page.
