Relay for Life
Relay For Life is being held once again at Gulfview Middle School and is scheduled for April 20, 2011. I hope to see everyone of you there!
This year we’ve been authorized to do dress down days once a month for 4 months so the following will be the schedule and themes -
Friday is also the actual Relay For Life event. It begins at 5 pm at Gulfview Middle School and ends at 11 am on Saturday, April 21. This is an 18 hour event – cancer doesn’t sleep and neither do we! Read Overnight Symbolism to understand the meaning and symbolism of walking the track for 18 hours. During that 18 hours there will be activities, food, music and lots of camaraderie! Additionally, Saturday morning at 8 am we’re hosting a Run For Relay 5K Run/Walk. The registration form can be accessed by clicking here. If you haven’t already registered, please do. The course goes through the neighborhood around Gulfview and ends with a lap around the track. After you cool down, you can participate in the last few hours of Relay. I’d like to thank each of you for your continued support of a cause that is near and dear to my heart, one that touches each of us in one way or another. I’m looking forward to the day that we no longer have to worry about cancer striking our family, our friends and even ourselves – and I know our continued fight will get us there! See you on Friday!
