Student Drug Testing
Student Services conducts a Random Drug Testing program involving high school students participating in FHSAA - sponsored athletics, and cheerleaders. Selection of students for testing is entirely random, and the students’ privacy and confidentiality are closely protected.

Zoning & School Choice
School Choice/Out-of-Zone allows families to select a school other than the assigned school using parents’ indicated preference/need as a significant factor.

School Choice allows parents/guardians to request that their child attend a school other than the school for which they are zoned. The School Choice option does not require a reason. Approval is based on space available.

Out-of-Zone also allows parents/guardians to request a school other than the school for which their child is zoned. However, a specific need must be cited. Under board policy such reasons include: after school care, work schedules, high school attendance at a specific academy, hardship. Supporting documentation is required. Approvals are based on space available.
